2024 KUCCPS Application Open; How To Apply For Courses. The Kenya University and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened the application process for students seeking to enroll in degree, diploma and certificate programs in universities and colleges.
The application portal available at www.student.kuccps.net is now open till February 20, 2024 and students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. To start the application, students must enter their KCSE index number, KCSE year and password, initially set as either the birth certificate number or the KCPE number used when registering for the KCSE examination.
KUCCPS encourages participation from both Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates for 2023 and those who completed their fourth education between 2000 and 2022. This inclusive approach widens opportunities for a wider range of applicants.
Government scholarships and Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) loans are available for courses offered at public universities and colleges. However, students who opt for courses at private universities are exclusively eligible for HELB loans.
Notably, there are 39 public universities eligible for government scholarships and HELB loans that offer a diverse range of educational opportunities.
Similarly, there are 237 public universities where diploma courses are available, which, upon successful application, entitle students to government scholarships and HELB loans. These institutions deal with a variety of educational activities, from degree programs to artisan courses (level 4 programs).
The programs offered cater for a variety of academic achievements, including degrees, diplomas, certificates and vocational courses. Degree programs are exclusively reserved for students who have achieved a grade of C+ and above in the KCSE examinations
