Shock befalls Kasarani residents, Nairobi County, on Tuesday afternoon, November 15, as a seven-story structure fell.

People passing by watched helplessly as the rubble flowed down the pathway, according to videos obtained online.

From the reports, numerous persons were believed to be trapped beneath the rubble after the structure collapsed.

Officers from City Hall are said to have visited in the morning for a normal inspection and told workers to leave the building site immediately, pronouncing it unsafe.

The supervisor, however, allegedly ignored the warning and continued with the construction.

At the time of publication, five individuals had been rescued from the wreckage and were being transported to a local hospital.

It’s reported that workers who were taking part of the construction are believed to buried in the rubble.
