CS Ezekiel Machogu Employs a Youth Who Interrupted his Speech at a Funeral
CS Ezekiel Machogu Employs a Youth Who Interrupted his Speech at a Funeral. On Monday, a young person from Nyamira County rushed to the podium and made an emotional appeal, earning the opportunity to engage directly with Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu.
Machogu was speaking to mourners who had come to pay their last respects to the late Nyamaiya Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) Elijah Osiemo when the incident took place.
The CS, who was there on the platform when the incident took place, was prepared to award a teaching position to a member of Osiemo’s family.
“As you can see, he is currently signing the teaching application. If there is a neighbor here who wants to pursue a profession in teaching, this neighbor is filling out a form and will become a teacher, according to Machogu.
His presentation was nevertheless cut short by a minor ruckus caused by the young individual who was racing to the stage while eluding multiple guards.
The unidentified man walked up to the CS, knelt before him, and begged to work for the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Machogu delighted him by giving him three forms before turning to the crowd and humorously asking, “Hasn’t the youth fought for himself in a good way?” That was a sign that he had been hired for the job.
The Commission promoted 14,000 teachers, hired principals and their assistants, and hired young people at the same time.

On Monday of last week, TSC notified 18,000 openings for Junior Secondary School centers around the country. Nakuru has the most residents (698), followed by Machakos (655), Murang’a (635) and Narok (618).
At the funeral service for the late Osiemo, who also served as the majority leader of Nyamira County, Machogu was joined by members of Nyamira Funeral Scores.
Osiemo died in an automobile accident on the Mai Mahiu-Naivasha Highway two weeks ago, close to the Mai Mahiu Escarpment.
His car was involved in an accident with a motorbike when it was headed to Nairobi. The cyclist sustained leg injuries.
