A well known teacher from Nyamira County,who was currently a headmaster at Gengereirie Primary School, who went missing on December 30, was found dead in a nurse’s house on January 1st 2023.
Gitangwa Nkeere Ezekiel aged 47 was found dead and his body mutilated in what policed termed as a possible homicide.
The police mounted an intensive search the same day Ezekiel was reported missing.
“We received a report from the teacher’s wife Gladys Bonareri Achoki that her husband was missing,” a police report read.
“The wife had reported that her husband was dropped by a boda boda rider at Egesieri village, West Mugirango location.”
“A search was immediately mounted that led investigators to the house belonging to a nurse who works in Nyamira County,” the report further revealed.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Ezekiel’s body hidden in a poultry house and covered with a carpet.
By the time police officers recovered the body of the late tutor, the nurse was not around.
The incident happened same day when police officers found two children murdered in Kiambu County.
The kids aged 7 and 5 had their hands tied and their heads shoved in a bucket full of water.
Police arrested the mother was arrested to aid police officers in investigations.
In another similar incident, Police officers in Kiambu County on December 31, also found the body of a missing Kenyatta University student dead in her boyfriend’s house in Kahawa, Wendani.
