In the latest development, an official from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) arrested a student from Nyanchwa Boys School who took Mathematics Paper 2. The arrest was made after KNEC representatives found a mobile phone on a table near an open window. in a classroom adjacent to the exam room.
After checking, it was found that the phone is password protected. After completing the Mathematics Paper 2 test, the student answered questions from the KNEC officer and provided an access code that allowed him to access the phone. While checking the WhatsApp section, the KNEC officers found the original Mathematics Paper 2 question paper sent by the student.

Police officers from the Kisii Police Headquarters who responded to the incident discovered that the sender had distributed the completed Mathematics Paper 2 to several groups before the exam started at 8:00am.
The manager of the group responsible for the illegal distribution reportedly demanded an additional Ksh10,000 from each participant before distributing the Kiswahili paper 3. Although his mobile phone was confiscated as evidence, the student was allowed to continue with his subsequent papers. .
After this incident, the law enforcement officers began to investigate to arrest the administrator of the group involved in the illegal sale of test documents.
