PSC Extends the Application Deadline for Internship Positions. The Public Service Commission (PSC) has extended the application deadline for recently publicized internship vacancies across government departments.

In a notice released on Thursday, August 17, the PSC extended the application deadline for the advertised posts from August 17 to August 23, 2023.

The Public Service Commission is pleased to announce a seven-day extension of the application period for the recruitment of 8,000 interns (cohort 6) under the PSIP for the Financial Year 2023–2024, according to the notification, which is in effect from August 17 to August 23.

The commission said on Tuesday, July 25, that it will hire 8000 interns for government ministries, agencies, and organizations for the Financial Year 2023–2024.

The internships are not extendable and are anticipated to last 12 months.

The chosen applicant must be proficient with computers and have a Bachelor’s degree from an approved institution in any field that was acquired no earlier than 2017.

According to the commission, throughout the internship, interns will do tasks that have been assigned to them by their supervisors and are mutually agreed upon.

Additionally, they will take part fully in other tasks designed for the program and record any relevant skills.

The government will choose the amount of the stipend the interns will receive during their internship.

After successfully completing the internship program, they will be given credentials, according to PSC.

The Commission further stated that the selection process would be fair and that each application would be evaluated according to its qualifications.

According to the announcement part of the job posting, “Interested and qualified graduates are requested to make their applications through the Commission’s job portal accessible through www.publicservice.go.ke or www.psckjobs.go.ke.”
