Revised House Allowances for Civil Servants 2023/24. The government has made a detailed document accessible that describes how national government civil servants would receive their housing allowance during the first phase of implementation.

Teachers in employment groups C through T are eligible for the specified house allowances.

According to the recipient’s location, the dwelling allowance has been separated into four distinct categories.

• Phase I of the review will be implemented by the government in the 2023–2024 fiscal year, followed by Phase II in the 2024–2025 fiscal year.
• Civil Servants in CSG17 to CSG4 will begin receiving Phase I of the New Basic Salaries and Salary Scales, which are Appendix I and II to this Circular, on July 1st, 2023.
• Civil Servants in CSG 17 to CSG 4 will begin receiving Phase I of the revised House Allowance on July 1st, 2023.
• Civil servants in the National Government in CSG17 to CSG4 who will be in the Service on or after 1 July 2023 are subject to the new Basic Salaries and House Allowance.

The Integrated Payroll and Personnel Database (IPPD) System will automatically convert basic salary and housing allowance. It is stressed that the conversions should be checked right away to make sure that any mistakes are found and fixed right away.

Officers’ current incremental dates will be kept. The officers will receive their yearly raise on the current compensation scales before their wages are converted to the new basic salary points with effect from the same day, i.e. 1st July 2023, in cases where the incremental date falls on that day.

The rest of the service’s terms and conditions will still be in effect.
