Revised Minimum College Entry Requirements by the State
Revised Minimum College Entry Requirements by the State. The minimum prerequisites to enrol in a Kenyan Teacher Training College, or TTC, have now been lowered by the Ministry of Education. A KCSE graduate must only achieve a minimum mean grade of C (plain), according to regulations. All additional specifications have been eliminated.
The Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DPTE) and the Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education (DECTE) are only two of the many programmes that TTCs in Kenya offer.
Admissions process for TTC
TTC admissions are handled in an open and simple manner. The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) places some students.
If KUCCPS did not place you, you could still apply directly by giving your chosen TTC your KCSE Results Slip or Certificate.

A plain C average is all. No longer performance standards based on subjects. You only require a C (plain) on the KCSE exams. Just that.
