Schools closing this Week for August Holiday. From the school calendar which was published by the Ministry of Education (MoE) indicates that schools should close by 13th Friday August.
Although many schools started closing as earlier as last week due to lack of financial resources to sustain learners in school. This was reportedly noticed by different schools closing and departing to home.
According to the Ministry of Education school calendar, all primary and secondary school learners in the country area stipulated to spend a time span of the 14 weeks in their respective institutions of learning in a strategic drive fostered towards covering the term 2 syllabus.
After a successful conclusion of the institutionalized 14 weeks term two learning period, all primary and secondary schools learners are expected to report back home on the 11th day of August 2023 in order to set rolling the End of term two school holiday.
It is essentially worth noting that the learners were expected to close for term two mid-term break in June this year.
Schools are still having huge debts to suppliers who have been supplying food stuffs such as maize, beans, sorghum and other cooking essentials, stationery materials and different bills such as for water and electricity.
