The Teaching Service Commission (TSC) on Thursday, December 29, warned applicants for vacant positions not to fall prey to scammers who aim at unsuspecting candidates
According to TSC, the survey is free, contrary to some reports of people asking for a fee.
In addition, the commission has redlisted the email address that will conduct business on behalf of the recruitment process.
It says “Don’t worry! It’s free to rent.”

TSC has announced that 35,000 teachers have been recruited to fill the number of teachers needed to implement the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
In addition, the commission has proposed 21,550 internship positions for teachers in secondary schools.
TSC Issues Clarification Ahead of Teacher Recruitment Process.
“At the same time, 30,550 new teachers will be recruited (9,000 permanent and retired teachers and 21,550 trainee teachers) to run secondary schools before the 2023 term,” he said.
The council has dedicated its official website (information (at) tsc (dot) to (dot) ke) for candidates who are interested in submitting their applications through the career section.
According to TSC, the recruited teachers are expected to open the school in January 2023, in time for the new year.
The deadline for applications was revised after the commission gave interested parties free rein after complaints from locked out candidates.
Incidentally, the recruitment is part of President William Ruto’s promise to increase the number of teachers during his tenure.
