KNEC Payment Rates For 2022 Contracted Professionals. The payment amounts for the experts hired and in charge of the 2022 KCSE and KCPE national examinations have finally been made public by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).
This testing took place in November and December of last year (2022).
The professionals hired, according to knec, are;
- The Centre Managers (these are Principals and Head Teachers)
- The Supervisors
- The Invigilators
- The Security Guards.
At http://cp2.knec.ac.ke/professionals, these officers were required to update their information online and download their invitation letters.
According to payment information provided by the Council, primary school principals serving as KCEA Center Managers will get a daily subsistence allowance of Sh500 for a total of 4 days (including rehearsal day).
Kcpe tests were administered between November and December of 2022. (last year).
Principals at secondary schools, on the other hand, are supposed to get a daily allowance of Sh500 over the course of 18 days.
The highest contracted Supervisor will receive a total of kSh12,510 for overseeing the examination.
The contractual invigilators who are paid the most will receive kSh9860.
Deputy Head Teachers and Principals will not be paid even though they will be on hand throughout the exam time serving as assistant Center Managers, according to KNEC.
Also, the scientific teachers who organize and oversee the practical exams for the KCSE exams are not paid.
Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) test administration was farmed out to a total of 286,000 teachers by knec in 2022.
More than 50,000 trained examiners in various subjects were issued a calling letter for marking of the exams. In time they availed themselves in various stations ready for the work, which the successful did and completed.
Examiners will receive compensation if the Kenya National Examinations Council receives funding, according to Chief Executive Officer David Njengere.
Njengere said during his appearance before the Public Investments Committee on Education and Governance.
