KUCCPS Top Diploma Courses with Colleges Offering
KUCCPS Top Diploma Courses with Colleges Offering. According to Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Education Ezekiel Machogu, the deadline for students who took the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) to start applying for higher programs was Wednesday, May 17.
Depending on their KCSE mean grade, students can apply for undergraduate degree programs, diplomas, certifications, and artisan courses.
Those who are interested in pursuing diploma courses must have at least a C- (minus) in order to do so, with the exception of a diploma in teaching, which requires a C+ (plus) mean grade.
The five most marketable programs were identified by EducationHighlights.co.ke, along with some of the accredited institutions that are KUCCPS members and are authorized to deliver them. Unless stated otherwise, diploma courses cost Ksh67,189 per year.
The Diploma in Education is a degree that is offered by universities, teacher preparation programs, and Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET).
Students can apply for a Teachers Service Commission (TSC) number and become secondary school teachers if they decide to take the course.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering
This is one of Kenya’s most marketable diploma programs since graduates can start their own businesses.
A few of the KUCCPS-accredited institutions that provide an electrical engineering diploma are Bondo Technical Training Institute, Butere Technical and Vocational College, Coast Institute of Technology, Eldoret Polytechnic, Kabete National Polytechnic, and Kenya Coast Polytechnic.
Journalism and mass media certificate
You can still apply for a certificate in journalism and mass media if you want to work in journalism but didn’t receive the C+ needed for university entrance as long as you obtained at least a C- (minus).
Among the institutions that provide KUCCPS-approved courses are Masinga Technical and Vocational College, Michuki Technical Training Institute, Molo Technical and Vocational College, and Sigalagala National Polytechnic.
Diploma Information and Communications Technology
Only two universities that have been authorized by the KUCCPS offer DICT to students who want to apply for government scholarships.
If they like, students can apply to other colleges after taking the course through a self-sponsored program.
DICT is provided by Meru University of Science and Technology and Borabu Technical and Vocational College.
