Loans for undergraduate students at universities might range from Sh40,000 to Sh60,000.

For Government supported students only, a standard reduction of Ksh4,000 is deducted from the loan issued and disbursed to the university each semester for tuition (a total of Ksh8,000), and the remaining Ksh2,000 is transferred to the applicant’s bank account for upkeep.
The administrative charge, which is levied on the provided loan and is equal to Ksh 500 annually, is subtracted from the disbursed loan.
