After primary school teachers, the Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) recruitment to administer primary school exams has increased and grades have gone up.
The administration of this year’s national tests and assessments will be handled by at least 250,000 elementary, middle and high school teachers under contract with Knec.
This figure is higher than the 242,406 teachers employed to administer the test last year.
This figure is due to an increase in the number of applicants this year, thanks to 6th graders taking their exams at the end of this month.
Center managers, counselors and supervisors will all be teachers from private and public schools.
Selected teachers should check the CP2 portal to confirm their placement. You need to download the placement letter as additional placement proof.
This year, KPSEA and KCPE exams for 6th and 8th grade students will start on November 28 and will end on November 30, 2022.
On the other hand, the KCSE exam for Form 4 candidates will start on November 21 and end on December 22.
Year 6 students will take approximately 1,268,830 exams for KPSEA, 1,230,000 for KCPE and approximately 880,000 for KCSE Type 4.
Teachers exempted as Center Managers, Conveners or Supervisors usually attend KPSEA, KCPE and KCSE briefings.
