KNEC Sends Tough Regulations to Examination Centre Managers
KNEC Sends Tough Regulations to Examination Centre Managers. The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) Chief Executive Officer (KNEC) has banned unauthorized persons from entering examination centres. As part of this change, Njengere introduced a new procedure for collecting KCSE exam papers.
Starting this year, this collection will be packaged twice. Only center administrators, invigilators and whistleblowers are allowed access to this test center, and Jengere is called for strict adherence to this policy.
In preparation for the trial period, Njengere also communicated requirements to the center manager. They must compile a list of assigned support staff and submit it to the Director of Education.
In a separate statement, CS Machogu issued a stern warning to officials and candidates participating in the 2023 national examination. He said the ministry would not show weakness to anyone in its conduct.
The Ministry intends to take appropriate action to ensure that no one involved in cheating during the examination is exempted from the consequences against officers who violate the rules and regulations prescribed.
Machgu further called on all officials participating in the national examination to follow the prescribed guidelines carefully and discharge their responsibilities with utmost professionalism. He emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity and vigilance to avoid malpractices during this year’s inspections and evaluations.
