2024 Simplified Procedure For Applying For Courses on KUCCPS Portal. The government has opened the application window for courses in the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) online system. Prospective students can apply for placements at universities, TVET institutions, Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), Teachers Training Colleges (TTC) and the Open University of Kenya.
How to sign up
1. Log in to the student portal using your KCSE index number as your username.
2. Enter the KCSE year and use the birth certificate number OR the KCPE index number (as used when registering for the KCSE exam) as the initial password.
3. Select the programs and move the ones you are interested in to the course basket to work with a shorter list when preparing your final course list.
4. Enter program codes using the Application/Revision tab.
5. All programs have minimum subject requirements and you can only enroll in a course that meets these requirements. Selection is determined by overall performance and available capacity.
6. Once you have decided on your preferred courses, enter your program codes. Save the courses for later use or add them to the course basket.
7. You can access saved courses by clicking on the menu item “Courses basket” or on the icon marked “Basket”.
8. Search for courses by institution using the Institution tab, keep in mind that selection depends on overall performance and available capacity.
9. After confirming the program codes, submit the application and follow the instructions to pay the placement processing fee.
10. Placement processing fee should be paid after course selection pending approval.
This process allows students to apply for preferred courses with regard to subject requirements and overall performance for successful placement in institutions of their choice.
