56000 teachers set for CBC retraining, TSC says. The Teachers Service Commission of Kenya (TSC) has taken a proactive approach to ensure that the 56,000 teachers recruited this year are prepared to meet the requirements of the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC). This comprehensive training initiative focuses on improving the professional skills and competence of teachers to improve student learning outcomes.
The training program will last eight days, starting on October 6 and ending on October 13, 2023.
The special Chief Executive of TSC, Nancy Macharia, applauded the commitment of the teaching community who are actively involved in this important monitoring process. Celebrating World Teacher’s Day at a prestigious Kenyan government school in Nairobi, he emphasized the importance of following the principles of CBC in daily teaching activities.
He expressed his deep appreciation for the commitment of primary and primary teachers in adopting the KBK curriculum, which played an important role in imparting essential skills and values to Kenyan students.
In addition, TSC has conducted a rigorous screening process to select teachers who will be supervisors and supervisors of the 2023 national exam.
