Somber Atmosphere as School Headtacher Found Dead With Unmarked Papers. A somber atmosphere enveloped Bondo Constituency in Siaya District when a school principal was found dead in his house. It was discovered by the neighbors who, alarmed by the unpleasant smell emanating from the house, called the police in the early hours of Sunday morning to investigate.
Lucas Onyango, a teacher, was found dead on a couch in his home. The head of the Bondo regional police confirmed the incident, saying that the circumstances are under investigation by the police. Initial reports from three police officers who responded to the scene indicated no signs of a struggle or commotion at the deceased’s home, leading authorities to consider the possibility of suicide.
The deceased, who lived alone, was found next to unmarked KCSE examination papers, adding a mysterious aspect to the tragic event. The body was taken to the hospital mortuary pending a post-mortem examination.
This unfortunate incident closely follows another tragedy in the area where a 23-year-old boda-boda operator was found dead in similar circumstances in his home just a few days ago.
The community is dealing with the shock of losing an educator in such circumstances and the investigation will hopefully shed light on the events leading up to this tragic outcome.
