The following information regarding the verification of images provided for the 2023 KCSE exam during registration is being brought to your notice by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC):
All KCSE examination Center Managers who registered candidates for the KCSE examination in 2023 have access to the photograph registers via the registration portal thanks to a provision given by KNEC;
Therefore, Center Managers should download the photo albums from the registration portal, print them in color, and provide them to the applicants so they may check that their names are appropriately listed next to their pictures and sign next to their pictures and subject entries;
By 15th August 2023, all instances of subject changes, photo mismatches, and missing photos must be formally reported to the CEO of KNEC with the appropriate photographs attached and the CD properly labeled.
By the deadline specified in 3.0, all instances of blurry and/or horizontally misaligned images must be fixed, saved on a Computer Disk (CD), and sent to KNEC with a supporting letter;
A penalty of KSh 500 per candidate will be assessed for photo changes resulting from 3.0 and 4.0 above, and this money must be sent to KNEC in order for the changes to take effect.
To be given to the Supervisor for use in administering the KCSE exam in 2023, the signed photo registrations (albums) without errors must be preserved in a secure location.
