For Promotions 36000 TSC Teachers Were Selected
For Promotions 36000 TSC Teachers Were Selected. According to the Teachers employer, around 36,000 teachers will receive promotions very soon in order to enhance instruction in Junior Secondary Schools (JSS).
According to proposals revealed on Wednesday, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) would also hire more teachers for secondary schools.
According to TSC Executive Director Nancy Macharia, 10,833 primary school teachers will be promoted to JSS before the year is up, out of the 36,829 teachers who are scheduled for promotions.
Once the chosen candidates have fulfilled the deployment requirements, the promotion will become effective.
During her testimony before the National Assembly Education Committee, Macharia informed the MPs that the TSC was reviewing instructors who submitted requests for promotions using an online portal.

A review of their files is ongoing to find new teachers who are qualified for inclusion in the JSS, she said in a statement. Finding instructors to teach in secondary schools is a continuous process.
The Kenya Secondary Education Certificate Examination (KSCE) or equivalent, as well as an average grade of at least C+ and at least C+ in two KCSE-level subjects, are prerequisites for admission to JSS, according to the commission.
You must finish at least eight credits in each of the two fields for your bachelor’s degree.
The panel then assigned teachers to each student in grade 7 across the nation’s public schools. said Macharia.
The commission employed 30,550 instructors, or one teacher for every class, out of the 61,000 grade 7 teachers (at least two teachers per class).
The relocation occurs at a time when JSS is being overrun by a significant influx of new students as a result of overcrowding in some schools and expensive private university tuition.
Macharia stated that as soon as the recruitment drive is published, the commission will begin hiring secondary school teachers.
We will provide more information when the promotions begin.
