Free Mini Courses to Aid Teachers in the Classroom
Free Mini Courses to Aid Teachers in the Classroom. Teachers will soon be able to improve their skills with a free microcredit certificate in phonics teaching and classroom management.
These evidence-backed and expert-led courses are designed to empower teachers and positively impact student outcomes.
The Government of Albania has provided more than $3 million to the University of Adelaide to develop and run these courses.
These free microcredits will be an important means of professional development for teachers, school staff and educational leaders.
In addition, this microcredit certificate will provide a postgraduate teaching award for teachers at the University of Adelaide’s School of Education.
This initiative is in line with the National Teacher Workforce Action Plan and expands government-funded classrooms that provide teachers with free classroom management resources.
This online microcredit certification will begin next year, marking the first phase of a $5 million investment in evidence-based microcredit certification for teacher professional development.
Education Minister Jason Clara’s comments highlighted the benefits of the courses, stressing that they support new and experienced teachers and improve student learning outcomes.
