KNEC 2023 KCSE Qualifying Test Examination Timetable. The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has published the official timetable and guidelines for the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) qualifying examination.
The exam will start at 8:30 AM and candidates must be punctual. Each paper has a specific duration and no extra time will be given. Track the time on the question paper in case of weakness. Unless otherwise specified in the paper instructions, study time is included in the total duration of the exam.
Invigilators and invigilators play an important role in ensuring that the candidates fill the correct answer sheet, including their name and index number. Applicants must ensure receipt of all required documents.
Exam period and date
The exam will be held on October 30, 2023 in the following order:
Morning Session (Session 1):
– paper: QT904 Mathematics and Science
– Duration: 2 Hours (8:30 A.M. – 10:30 A.M.)
– Break: Duration: 30 minutes (10:30 – 11:00)
Afternoon Session (Session 2):
– paper: QT903/1 English
– Duration: 2 Hours (11.00 – 13.00)
– Lunch Break: Duration: 1 Hour (13:00 – 14:00)
Afternoon Session (Session 3):
– paper 1: QT903/2, Kiswahili
– paper 2: QT903/3: Kenyan Sign Language
– Duration: 2 hours each (2:00 PM – 4:00 AM)
Directions and instructions
District testing officials must ensure candidates read and follow guidelines and instructions. Candidates must understand the consequences of examination irregularities.
– Arrive 15 minutes early.
– Check that the question paper matches their registration.
– Follow the general instructions on the first page of the paper.
– Write the name and index number in the answer book.
– Write on both sides except the edges.
– Explain the question number in each answer.
– Use black or blue ink for writing, pencil only for diagrams.
– Read the questions carefully to avoid wasting time.
– Send the answer booklet immediately when it is displayed.
Attention Candidates
Candidates must follow some rules:
– Leave the exam room only with the permission of the invigilator.
– Do not throw the question paper from the room.
– Do not make your written material available to others.
– No communication during the exam.
– Possession of illegal materials or electronic devices is prohibited.
