KNEC Directs New Guidelines to Candidates Registration 2023
KNEC Directs New Guidelines to Candidates Registration 2023. New guidelines have been published by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) for the continued registration of the KCSE, KCPE, and qualifying test examinations in 2023.
The Council requested that all candidates put their names in the order that they appear on their birth certificates in a statement that was released on Monday, February 13.
In addition, they must specify the correct year of birth and gender before listing the specific subjects for which they have registered.
Last but not least, if the candidate has any unique needs or limitations, they must disclose them according to their various categories, such as vision, hearing, or physical issues.
On February 1, 2023, the mandatory registration period began. It will last until March 30, 2023.
There will, however, be no late registration for national exams, according to the Council.
According to KNEC, the KCSE Qualifying Test (QT) is a test created to evaluate a candidate’s readiness to take the KCSE examination.
The test is intended for applicants who have a primary certificate other than the KCPE or a foreign primary certificate received after less than eight years of primary schooling.
At the County Director of Education’s office, exam registration is done online.
David Njeng’ere, CEO of KNEC, has requested that school administrators submit registration forms on behalf of candidates to the Council.
Additionally, he said that if a candidate was not registered, they would not be permitted to take their tests.
“Registering candidates is the initial stage in conducting a test.” To make sure that all applications have been enrolled, each center has two months. When the 2022 KCSE results were released on January 20, 2023, Njeng’ere made this announcement.
The KCPE and KCSE will take place between November 10, 2023 and December 1, 2023, respectively, according to the Ministry of Education. The KCPE will take place between November 6, 2023 and November 9, 2023.
