C+ Minimum Entry Grade
C+ Minimum Entry Grade. The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has maintained that a C+ is still the required mark for a university degree. As it has been from the previous years.
This indicates that every one of the 173,345 students who passed the KCSE exam in 2022 with a grade of C+ or higher will enroll in college.
This occurs at a time when, based on the achievement of the KCSE 2022 class, parents and kids were concerned that the minimum grade required for admittance into universities will increase.
In the KCSE Test of 2021, 145,145 applicants met the minimal academic requirement for admittance into a university by earning a grade of C+ or higher.
Now, according to KUCCPS Chief Executive Officer Dr. Agnes Wahome, universities have enough space to house all of the students.
“I am aware that there are many worries regarding whether we have enough room for students who are eligible to enroll in universities. There won’t be any lockouts and nothing to worry about, the teacher assured the audience.
At a mentorship session for young people from the area on Saturday at Kangaru Boys High School in Embu County, she made the comments.
The purpose of the career guidance and mentorship session was to inform attendees about the KUCCPS application and placement procedure.
When the KUCCPS portal opens, Dr. Wahome asked the students to submit applications for courses.
All applicants who meet the university’s entry requirements should start submitting their applications, she stated, as we have the capacity to do so.
Dr. Wahome urged the applicants, however, to enroll in technical colleges (TVETs) and sign up for diploma programs if they didn’t want to attend universities.
“There are numerous universities where students can enroll in programs that will enable them to realize their aspirations. She suggested allowing kids to select and pursue the educational paths they desire to take.
Candidates for the 2022 KCSE, current university and college students (comrades), professionals from Embu County, as well as local leaders and government representatives, all attended the ceremony. Where Candidates were inspired also to apply for Diploma Courses if not interested in joining Universities.
