It was announced on May 17 by Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) that students who sat the KCSE exams in 2022 can select and review their courses on the online platform.
Before enrolling at their best colleges in September, the students have three weeks to select their courses based on cutoff points and program expenses.
In the KCSE of 2022, 12,760 female applicants and 18,062 male applicants, on average, received an E. Students can enrol in a range of courses, including Information Technology (IT) courses, regardless of their grades.
The government gave considerable focus to promoting IT-related courses and supporting technology in order to keep up with the trends.
On the KUCCCPS site, students can select from a wide range of organizations across the country that provide IT-related courses.
Notably, the data shows that the annual cost of the course is Ksh67,189.
Among the institutions are Cherangany Technical & Vocational College, Maasi Mara Technical & Vocational College, Mathira Technical & Vocational College, and Mwala Technical & Vocational College.
Others include Nachu Technical and Vocational College, Kinango Technical and Vocational College, Mawengo Technical Training Institute, St. Joseph Technical Institute for Deaf Nyang’oma, Kieni Technical and Vocational College, and Kinango Technical and Vocational College.
There were four different course titles available: Artisan in Information and Communication Technology, Nationa Vocational Certificate of Education and Training (NVCET) in ICT, NVCET Certificate in Information and Communication Technology, NVCET in ICT (KNEC) for a maximum of four trainees, and NVCET Level I and II in ICT.
KUCCPS withheld the cutoff scores for the class of 2022.
In order to pick and revise courses, students are asked to log in at students.kuccps.net. There, they will be expected to submit their personal information, including the KCSE index numbers, KCSE year, and a password of their choice.
Once on the website, click the “Programs” or “Institutions” tab to select the relevant course. On the programs tab, students may view the cost and due dates for the course.
Use the course code to guide your decision before selecting the “Application/Revision” option. You can choose as many as four courses.
The student can select “Apply Now” after they are done and wait for the institution to approve their application.
