KUCCPS Reopens Portal for Limited KMTC Vacancies
KUCCPS Reopens Portal for Limited KMTC Vacancies. The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has commenced the opening of its portal to accommodate aspiring students seeking enrollment at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC). This announcement comes with the caveat that the application portal will only be accessible for a limited time due to limited slot availability.
KUCCPS explained that these openings were a result of students who initially registered not signing up to study. In response, the placement authority will extend invitations to individuals who were unsuccessful in securing placements for KMTC programs during the previous KMTC period, giving them priority in the current round.
In a statement, KUCCPS specifically invited eligible and qualified high school graduates to apply for KMTC. However, the announcement did not provide details regarding the exact number of slots available or the selection criteria.
The first call for applications for KMTC was announced on July 22 by KUCCPS, marking a significant milestone. Subsequently, the placement authority decided to extend the deadline, offering a last chance to those who have not yet applied to do so.
It is worth noting that KMTC specializes in a wide range of medical courses and boasts of more than 93 programs spread across 18 departments. Courses offered range from certificates to diplomas and include various fields such as medical engineering, health records and information technology, orthopedic trauma medicine, community health, nutrition and dietetics, and more. This breadth of offerings underscores KMTC’s commitment to comprehensive medical education.
