KUCCPS Updates: KMTC Course Application Results. The second round of applications for the Kenya Medical College Program has been released by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service.
According to a statement released on Tuesday, those who registered received an SMS informing them of their results.
They also advise the candidates how to check their results.
SMS has been used to alert applicants and they are invited to log into the portal using the URL http://students.kuccps.net to check the progress of their application.
KUCCPS has launched its portal on September 12 for students who do not have seats from KMTC.
The placement service advises that if they apply through KUCCPS, they will change their choice to the KMTC course.
Additionally, the submission process is free and the review window is from September 12 to September 16.
The previous application deadline was August 4. On July 22, the portal was made available to candidates.
According to KUCCPS executive director Mercy Wahome, the service portal is accepting applications until August 4.
During this period, KUCCPS received 42,000 applications, each applicant paid Sh2,000 for the process of enrolling in one of the 42 KMTC campuses.
With a capacity of 11,000 students in KMTC, about 32,000 students are denied access.
Wahome said thirty Kenya Medical Training (KMTC) programs are available for application on the KUCCPS portal.
The placement service is to place students in degree, diploma, certificate and arts courses in 289 public institutions and 30 private universities in Kenya after joining KMTC KUCCPS.
The placement agency states that applications are intended for those who have passed the Kenyan Secondary Education Examination between 2013 and 2022.
Diploma and certificate programs include public health nursing, mental health and psychiatry, midwifery, radiography and imaging, medical laboratory science, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy and public health, among others.
