Most Popular Courses 2023
Most Popular Courses 2023. Through the Kenya Universities Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), which is provided by the Kenyan Universities, KCSE students will be able to apply for their degree, diploma, and certificate programs in 2022.
According to KUCCPS’s announcement, students with a mean grade of C+ or higher will be able to apply for their desired courses using their cluster points.
Students’ Cluster Points are calculated by comparing their performance in the four topics that make up each cluster to that of the top student in a particular KCSE exam.
The placement service has listed 560 undergraduate courses that have been divided into 20 clusters.
1. Bachelor’s of Law ( L.LB)
In cluster 1, the bachelor of laws (L.L.B.) program has drawn more candidates.
Most students have been found to apply more of the business and hospitality related courses. This is clear when looking at the KUCCPS Portal.
The KUCCPS webpage places media studies, social sciences, visual arts, graphics, and film animations in cluster 3.
Due to the low cluster Point requirements, many students have been observed applying for these courses in these clusters.
While there are many seats available in law studies at different universities, many students apply for them.
2. Geoscience
The KUCCPS has placed geoscience in cluster 4, which includes sixteen undergraduate programs.
3. Technology Engineering
The engineering, engineering technology, and other related courses have been ranked in cluster 5 by the placement service.
Fewer universities offer these engineering courses since they need more infrastructure and resources.
Architecture, building, construction, and other related courses are included under cluster 6 by the placement agency.
Despite the agency stating that the courses were in great demand, medical and health-related courses are ranked at cluster 13 on the KUCCPS internet portal. There are fewer spaces available for students to apply to the KUCCPS due to demand.
4. Medicine And Health Courses
When comparing medicine and law, medicine enrolls fewer students than law because medical needs more resources, such as labs and species. LLB programs can accommodate a big number of students because they simply need space and teachers.
Students who don’t meet the cluster points will be locked out by KUCCPS and forced to retake their courses.
Information technology, agribusiness, actuarial science, accounting, computing mathematics, economics, and statics are some of the other courses in other clusters that are more well-liked.
