Mothers Seeks Justice After Kipsigis Girls Teacher Defiles her Daughter
Mothers Seeks Justice After Kipsigis Girls Teacher Defiles her Daughter. After her daughter, a 17-year-old form four student at Kipsigis Girls in Kericho County, was allegedly sexually assaulted by a teacher on Easter Sunday, the mother of the victim is now demanding justice.
According to the girl, she went to his office to borrow his phone so she could call her parents, but he instead locked her inside his office before performing the savage deed.
The institution had ignored the problem, the mother who stormed the school’s grounds shouting and furious claimed, despite the Chaplain reporting the occurrence.
“My daughter brought up the situation with the Chaplain, who then brought it up with the Deputy Principal, but nothing was done. We sought medical assistance right away before taking a statement at the police station after I learned the news after schools were out, she stated.
Because using a phone when a teacher is in the classroom is against school policy, the teacher cunningly confined her inside the office.
The institution’s negligence even after being made aware of the issue is the most disheartening aspect. After two weeks had passed, the student returned home to report the problem, but she had not been taken to the hospital or the police station to give a statement.
“This is concerning,” she continued, “because we trust instructors to take good care of our kids in schools, and as a parent, I’m concerned about their welfare. I worry about all the girls who don’t have the courage to come out and suffer psychologically as a result.
As the police finish their investigations, the suspect is being kept at Kericho Police Station in anticipation of being arraigned.
The school had not yet issued a statement on the subject as of the time this report was published.
