New Form One Reporting Dates 2023
Education Secretary Ezekiel Machgu said today that a student will start reporting to secondary school from February 6, 2023. Initial reports indicate that students should join the form a week after the 2nd, 3rd and 4th report cards. January 23, 2023. January 30 is set as the first reporting date. However, after careful consideration of some issues, the date was extended by a week until February 6, 2023. This will give parents enough time to prepare and buy the necessary equipment for students.
The CS opened the selection process and announced the results today at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development. He emphasized that all exercises are conducted fairly, regardless of space availability, choice and importance. The CS confirmed that 107,461 girls and 91,556 boys have access to district schools across the country. A total of 117,055 boys and 11,105 girls were enrolled in additional district schools. The CS further explained that all the 106 national schools have admitted 20,178 boys and 18,794 girls.
KCPE results were announced last December, where the top two candidates scored 431 out of a possible 500. Some other candidates have done well and are now expected to join the team in February 2023. KCPE exam for more than 1.2 million people. Another 800,000 appeared for the Class 6 exam and have not yet received their results. However, CS has now confirmed that KPSEA Class 6 results will be released on January 17, 2023. The results will be released and every school can download the results on the student portal. These 6th grade students will then enter middle school. The CS said grade 7 students in secondary schools do not have to pay fees as the government will pay 15,000 shillings for each student. Only boarding students can pay some fees.
