P1 Teachers JSS Application
P1 Teachers JSS Application. A competent primary school teacher may apply to be posted to a junior secondary school through the Teachers Service Commission. All those who wanted to transfer to junior secondary were given the qualifications they needed to apply.
The deadline for applications for deployments to junior secondary schools was extended on Wednesday by the Teachers Service Commission.
The portal has been reopened, according to the commission, and qualified Primary school teachers with the necessary qualifications are urged to apply.
The application deadline is March 22, 2023, as it has also said.
The Commission said last month that 4,000 student teachers would be hired for primary schools.
Teachers who meet the requirements to instruct students in Grade 7 will be employed, according to Teachers Service Commission CEO Nancy Macharia.
In order to find additional teachers to post, the mapping process is ongoing, according to Macharia.
When the commission came before the departmental committee on education and research of the National Assembly, Macharia was speaking.
Based on the number of classes, the commission dispersed the teachers across the several counties.
To be considered, teachers have to fulfill a number of criteria.
“Bachelors in Education, a C+ in the KCSE, at least a C+ in two teaching topics in the KCSE, and at least 8 units in each of the two teaching subjects,” she stated.
She added that starting in 2019, the commission has promoted primary school instructors to secondary school teaching positions.
Also, 30,550 more teachers were assigned to teach in each Grade 7 class.
Each teacher teaches two subjects, and together, we discovered that the majority of the Grade 7 subjects exhibit some degree of association.
This implies that at the JSS level, one instructor may teach many subjects.
The commission said in a statement in December that 25,550 of the teachers would be interns and 10,000 would be hired on permanent contracts with pension benefits.
