Parents Ordered to Pay School Fees Via E-citizen Paybill
Parents Ordered to Pay School Fees Via E-citizen Paybill. The Ministry of Education has issued a directive requiring parents or guardians of students in schools in individual states to pay fees through the eCitizen platform. This new method should be active on February 6, 2024. The circular to principals emphasizes the alignment of school data with the government system. This directive applies exclusively to national schools.
School principals are tasked with providing their respective bank details, following the specified format of account name, bank, account number, bank code and branch code. The ministry says this transition is in line with the government’s broader agenda to integrate all services into the e-Citizen platform to improve service delivery.
