PSC Announces Over 600 Vacancies; How to Apply. Public Service Commission (PSC) has recently announced more than 600 vacancies in various ministries and government offices. This notice dated Tuesday 23 January 2024 invites qualified and interested Kenyans to submit their applications by Tuesday 13 February 2024.
As stated in the notification, detailed information on the positions and the application process is available on the Commission’s website at www.publicservice.go.ke. Interested parties are encouraged to ensure that their applications reach the committee no later than February 13, 2024.
The advertised positions cover a range of roles including 22 Commissioner/Secretary Administration and Deputy Director posts at the Kenya School of Adventure and Leadership under the Ministry of Internal Security and National Administration. The Department of Immigration and Citizenship Services is also actively seeking a refugee secretary, along with vacancies for five directors, 17 deputy directors and 80 assistant directors in civil registration services.
Other departments such as the National Treasury, the Department of Livestock and the Department of Defense also accept positions such as Director of General Public Debt Management, Director of Veterinary Services and Director/Senior Researcher/Senior Lecturer.
The Department of State for Correctional Services – Kenya Prisons Services has a vacancy for Deputy Commissioner General of Prisons. Apart from this, at least 135 vacancies of Directors and Assistant Directors are available in various departments of the Ministry of Industries.
The PSC highlighted that 43 public service and supply management positions are open. Department of Labor and Skill Development is looking to fill 182 posts in various departments.
Various positions are to be filled in the State Department for Irrigation, including Secretary, Reclamation, Climate Resilience and Irrigation Water Management. In addition, 22 posts are available at the Foreign Office for Parliamentary Affairs.
For those interested in the mining sector, 167 vacancies are open across various departments of the Ministry of Mines. The Petroleum Department is also actively seeking to fill the position of Petroleum Commissioner.
