Reasons Headteachers Avoid Applying for TSC CSO Positions. Primary school principals are hesitant to apply for the positions for Curriculum Support Officers (CSOs) that the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has offered.
In the preceding month, TSC published job postings for CSO I (84 posts), CSO II (regular) (286 positions), and CSO II (CSO SNE) (295 positions).There were also 95 openings for Principal Teacher Management Officers (PTMO).
On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, the commission re-advertised the aforementioned posts due to a lack of interest from several elementary school principals.
The fact that primary school teachers are consciously choosing not to apply for CSO positions reflects their perception that the role does not offer substantial financial incentives.
