Students Back To School 2023 Bus Stop Congestion. On Tuesday morning, residents of Nairobi experienced a challenging commute as they were stranded for hours at various bus stops.This is due to high number of students who were returning to school.
The situation was particularly difficult for parents who were taking their children back to school after the half-term break. Many students dressed in school uniforms flooded the estate bus stops, waiting for transportation to the Central Business District (CBD).
Matatu driver, Erick Ombati, who operates on Jogoo Road, explained that the situation arose because most students were returning to school after the break, and the heavy traffic snarl-up only made things worse.

After the half-term break, parents who were returning their children to school faced extremely challenging circumstances. The estate bus stations were overrun with students waiting for a ride to the Central Business Area while wearing their school uniforms (CBD).
The majority of students were going back to school after the vacation, and the severe traffic jam just made matters worse, according to Erick Ombati, a matatu driver who runs along Jogoo Road.
