TSC 2023 Score Sheet for Intern Recruitment. The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has 20,000 openings for teacher interns. According to the most current notification, there are 18,000 spaces for junior secondary schools and a total of 2,000 spots for basic schools.
Teachers and current interns who had hoped to be hired permanently and qualified for pensions by the commission are concerned about this.
On Wednesday, July 5, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) announced 20,000 teaching opportunities, 18,000 for junior secondary schools and 2,000 for elementary schools.
The interns will be dispersed throughout 47 counties, with 758 intern teachers being assigned to Kitui County, according to the commission’s job description.
The following is the score sheet that will be used to guide the hiring process:
Primary school teachers are entitled to a remuneration of Ksh15,000 per month. Junior secondary school teachers would receive Ksh20,000 per year.
The internship will run 12 months throughout the fiscal year 2023-2024.
In order to improve their teaching abilities, it aims to place registered instructors who are unemployed in educational settings where they can receive coaching, mentoring, and exposure to real-world teaching situations.
How to Apply
The TeachersOnline.tsc.go.ke website or the Careers link on the tsc.go.ke official website were the only places where interested candidates could submit their applications.
The commission informed all applicants that manual submissions would not be taken into consideration.
The following requirements are some of those that JSS interns must meet:
1. The applicant must be a citizen of Kenya.

However, the following criteria must be met by elementary education interns:
1. A Kenyan national is necessary.
A PI certificate holder must be present.
3. The owner needs to be registered with the TSC
For the length of the internship, it will be necessary for all chosen candidates to obtain personal accident insurance to cover personal risks.
Among the documents needed are the National Identity Card (also known as a passport), the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) card, the Kenya Revenue Authority Personal Identification Number (KRA PIN), and two colored passport-size photos.
Candidates must include a copy of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) if applicable.
TSC emphasized the openness and fairness of the application procedure and cautioned potential applicants against falling for con artists’ tricks.
The Teachers Service Commission further emphasized that “any fraudulent activity should be reported to the nearest TSC office, Teachers Service Commission headquarters, or the nearest police station.”
The commission will soon decide whether to accept the present interns into permanent posts with pension benefits or to extend their internships until 2025.
