TSC Promotion Interviews Going on in the Following Counties
TSC Promotion Interviews Going on in the Following Counties. Scheduled interviews for teacher promotions in approximately 276 counties will be held as scheduled on Monday, December 4, 2023.
According to information obtained by educationhighlights.co.ke, the Commission has decided to allow the resumption of the exercise in places that were not as heavily affected by the El Nino rains after first suspending it.
The purpose of these interviews is to fill 36,505 places for promotion in primary and secondary schools, which were published in September this year. From December 4 to December 15, 2023, interviews for primary school teachers in work groups C1 to C4 will take place in several regions.
However, the talks have been rescheduled until a new date is given for locations such as Makueni, Garissa, Marsabit and Isiolo, which are considered at risk due to incessant rains.
Interviews begin with C1 teachers competing for 10,819 Senior Teacher II (C2) posts in mainstream schools and 700 posts in special schools.
The commission has outlined specific documents to be submitted during the December promotion interviews, these include;
- original identity cards,
- academic and professional certificates,
- appointment letters for the current grade and position,
- subject results in KCPE/KCSE examinations for the last three years,
- performance evaluation reports for 2020, 2021 and 2022,
- and any other relevant testimonials supporting performance.
Around 150,000 primary and secondary school teachers were shortlisted and sent letters of interview to apply for 36,505 vacancies. Secondary school teachers will be interviewed next year, which will take place from 3 to 16 January 2024.
