TSC reveals new Appointment Procedures
TSC reveals new Appointment Procedures. New recommendations for locating, choosing, and assigning school administrators were made public by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC). With the exception of the additional county and national schools, the counties and regional offices are now in charge of choosing all primary school and secondary school administrators.
Now, a complex procedure will be used to appoint primary school administrators (head teachers, their deputies, and senior teachers) and secondary school administrators (principals, their deputies, and senior masters):
1. Creating vacancies through the county director
The TSC county director is now required to learn how many school administrator openings there are in the county. According to the TSC’s requirements on Curriculum-Based Establishment (CBE), this must be done.
2. Advertisement of the available positions
The TSC headquarters will then get information on open positions and publicize them. You must complete this on the TSC website.
3. Application submission
Then, interested and qualified people will use the TSC online application portal to submit their applications. The commission won’t take any manual applications and process them.
4. Applicant selection cutoff
The commission will review the applications carefully and shortlist the deserving candidates. Only the appropriate Regional Directors will receive the list of applicants who will be subjected to interviews.
5. Interviews
Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed at the regional and county levels. The regional director (who will serve as chair), the host county director (secretary), the host county human resource officer, and all other county directors from the region will be on the regional selection panel.
The county director (chairperson), host sub-county director (secretary), county human resource officer, and all other sub-county directors from the county shall make up the county selection committee.
6. Placement of selected candidates
The Regional Director is solely in charge of choosing, employing, and deploying successful applicants. This must be accomplished in coordination with the relevant county directors. The RD will then send a merit list and copies of appointment letters to the headquarters (addressed to the Secretary TSC).
It is crucial to remember that the Director in charge of staffing will appoint and assign principals of the additional county and national secondary schools at the headquarters.
