In 2023, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) introduced substantial salary increases and allowance adjustments for Group M teachers, benefiting Senior Master IV, Senior Lecturer IV, Senior Teacher-SNE (Special Education) and Deputy Head II. This positive change, valid from July 1, 2023, resulted from the cooperation of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports with TSK.
Before these adjustments, the basic monthly salary of TSC C4 teachers as at 30 June 2023 was Ksh 52,308. However, from July 1, 2023, teachers within the TSC saw their salary packages increase, with the lowest point on the scale receiving Ksh 54,584. .
