T-Pay website’s P9 forms
Teachers are aware that the P9 forms have been made available on the T-Pay site for all employees to download and use to file their tax returns.
Additionally, there is a penalty fee of KSh 20,000 or 5% of the tax payable, whichever is greater, for failing to file KRA returns by the deadline.
Late filers can also have trouble receiving KRA approval, which can be particularly challenging after retirement.
The nearest cybercafé, the TSC Accounts Division, or the KRA service centers are available for teachers who need assistance filing their returns.
It is essential for teachers to turn in their returns on time in order to avoid these penalties.
