According to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), the application form has been extended for the recruitment of teachers posted last week.
TSC initially expects the online application to fall on December 16, 2022. According to the latest version of the recruitment roadmap, qualified candidates must submit their online application by December 23, 2022.
The road map for teachers and teacher recruitment has been reviewed by the Department of Teachers. The table delivery date has been moved from December 16 to December 23, 2022.
The online application period will begin on December 10, 2022 and will continue until Mother’s Day on December 23, 2022 as per the revised roadmap.
According to a TSC advertisement published earlier this month, there are more than 35,500 teaching jobs, including teaching and teacher training positions.
During the current campaign, TSC aims to recruit 35,550 teachers for public primary and secondary schools.
According to the board’s report, only 10,000 of these posts will be filled on the basis of permanent pension, while the remaining 25,550 will be filled based on experience.
As for part-time teachers, 21,550 vacancies are for junior high schools participating in the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) program, while the remaining 4,000 positions are filled by elementary school teachers.
After the application process is completed, TSC will release the list of candidates. The County Election Commission will make a short list of candidates between December 29, 2022 and January 5, 2023 and invite people to interview.
The announcement promised the government would hire an additional 30,000 teachers for the 2023 school year.
