TSC CEO Nancy Macharia said teachers applying for transfers will not be forced to seek for swaps
The Superintendent said the Board will take responsibility for finding suitable replacements for the other teachers.
Yesterday, some MPs said that some candidates were asked to provide information in lieu of transfer requests.
Deputy Chairman of the Education Committee Malulu Injendi asked the TSC why it treated its teachers so badly, asking them to find their seats.
Responding to a question, Nancy Macharia said it was the mandate of the commission to find a suitable place for him.
Any teacher applying for a transfer will be given a promotion, transfer, or replacement without requiring replacement.
January transfers will be considered for teachers who are separated for the first time.
The teacher layoffs were canceled after lawmakers forced the TSC to review the policy.
This means that if a teacher will be transferred by the commission, he or she must be transferred to another school in the zone where he works.
