Good News to KCSE Candidates Between 2000 and 2022
Good News to KCSE Candidates Between 2000 and 2022. On February 8, 2024, the Kenyan government issued a major statement through the Kenya University and College Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) addressing four graduates who sat the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations between 2000 and 2022. The government has announced a unique opportunity for those who have met the minimum entry grade for college during this period but have not enrolled in higher education.
As part of this initiative, graduates from the mentioned years can now apply for admission to universities and colleges in Kenya. However, the government imposed a fee for this privilege. Applicants who previously applied while still in school are required to pay Ksh 1,000 while those who did not apply previously will be required to pay Ksh 1,500.
In addition, the application process, which consists of four graduates, must provide their respective KCSE and KCPE index numbers along with their birth number. These details are considered necessary to start the application process for university and college courses.
This strategic move by the Kenyan government aims to facilitate the inclusion of individuals who, despite meeting the academic criteria, have not been able to pursue higher education in the mentioned years.
