Good news to P1 Teachers with KCSE Mean Grade C plain
Good news to P1 Teachers with KCSE Mean Grade C plain. The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has stated plans to transfer more primary school teachers to junior secondary schools in order to address the teacher shortage.
The second groups of PTE teachers in practice have not yet been allocated to junior high, despite the commission getting new cash.
For the second deployment, preference will be given to teachers whose applications were received by March 22, 2023.
Following the budget reading last Thursday, TSC received a budgetary allotment that would be used to progress both these teachers and the approximately 14,000 tutors who have been in the same job group for years.
The Sub County Directors must confirm all papers before TSC will approve the deployment of a teacher to a school.
The committee insisted on allowing elementary school teachers to teach in junior secondary schools under a specific category.
Requirements:
For the teacher’s deployment to be validated, she/he/it MUST satisfy the following imperative requirements:
i) Teachers must have a TSC number and be registered with the Teachers Service Commission.
ii) You must work for the Teachers Service Commission as a first-grade teacher.
iii) Must not be undergoing a disciplinary process or serving a suspension at the moment.
iv) A minimum Diploma in Education and KCSE (or its equivalent) scores of at least a C+ are necessary.
Two teaching subjects (8-4-4 or CBC) with a grade of C+ are necessary for V, or two principles and one subsidiary pass at “A” Level.
Teachers with a C plain on the KCSE:
Teachers who have completed their KCSE with at least a C (plain) and hold both a certificate and a bachelor’s degree in education are competent.
These teachers must have a Bachelor of Education degree stated on their certificates. If they hold a Bachelor of Education (Primary Option), they are ineligible.
They had to be listed on a list and had to have shown a desire to attend a junior high school.
Verification requires supporting documentation
The following papers must be presented by applicants for teaching positions:
1) A duplicate of the original diploma or degree conferred;
ii) An original and a copy of the instructor’s academic records;
