KUCCPS 2023 Opens Portal For TVET Courses Application. For students looking to apply for diplomas, certificates, and artisan programmes in a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution for the May 2023/2024 intake, the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened the portal.
A minimum KCSE grade of E is required for applicants to artisan certificate programs, and applicants to craft certificate programs must have a mean grade of D (plain) or above.
KUCCPS only offers one artisan course in information communication technology under the information technology cluster.
The following artisan courses are available through the apparel, fashion, and textile cluster: fashion design and garment making (two options), design and garment making technology, fashion and design, garment making (three options), garment making and dressmaking, dressmaking and tailoring, Trade tests 3 in dressmaking, tailoring, and garment manufacturing are all required.
D- and E students with a passion for agriculture are available for artisan courses in General Agriculture and Certificate in Agribusiness.
Conversely, applicants for diploma programs should have a mean grade of C- (minus) or higher.
“When they meet the minimal requirements, any KCSE (2000 to 2022) certificate holders who have not benefited from government support for TVET training from are eligible to apply.” KUCCPS declared.
How to apply for a position with Kuccps;
1. Every application must be submitted online via the student portal, which is reachable via the KUCCPS website students.kuccps.net.
2. Log in with your username, password, and KCSE index number.
(Use your KCSE index number or birth certificate number as your first password.)
3. After logging in, choose the government institution and four courses you want to take.
4. Rank them from least preferred to most preferred, with first being the highest priority.
5. When finished, press submit.
