KUCCPS 2023 TTC Intake for DPTE and DECTE. Candidates who are interested in enrolling in Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs) and pursuing a Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DPTE) or a Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education (DECTE) can now submit their applications through the KUCCPS website.
The Kenya University and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) currently accepts online applications from candidates who took the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams between 2020 and 2022.
Both the DPTE and the DECTE have higher cutoff scores. A mean grade of C (plain) is the only requirement, and the application cost of 1,500 Kenyan shillings must be remitted to KUCCPS via Mpesa.
After July 28, 2023, applications will no longer be accepted through the KUCCPS portal. You can use this link to get to the KUCCPS application.
A minimum grade of C (plain) in each subject cluster was once required of potential candidates, however that requirement has since been removed.
The requirement that candidates take five different disciplines will no longer be taken into consideration when assigning candidates to TTC. Anyone who earns a mean grade of C or higher is eligible to enroll in a teaching program.
