KUCCPS 2024 Courses for KCSE Grade E Students. Individuals who have achieved Grade E in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in 2023 now have the opportunity to pursue their desired career through the Artisan/Level 4 programmes. Facilitated by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), these courses come with another benefit of government sponsorship. Additionally, candidates who have passed KCSE between 2000 and 2022 and obtained an average grade of D- and E are also eligible for these craft courses.
The diverse range of courses includes 14 programs covering fields such as business, construction, engineering and technology, food, social sciences, information technology, hospitals, hospitality and tourism, apparel, fashion and textiles. In addition, there are programs in Agricultural Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy, and Library and Information Science.
Under the Business program, candidates can explore opportunities in warehouse, accounting technician, secretarial positions, office administration and human resource management. In the Building and Construction programme, students passionate about masonry and construction can take courses such as Building Technology, Building Technology, Masonry, Building Craftsman Level 4 and General Ironwork.
Aimed at those aspiring to work in the hospitality industry, the Food Science program offers courses in Food Beverage Production and Service, Food and Beverage Crafts, Culinary Arts and Food Processing Technology. Social Sciences provides courses such as Artisan in Social Work and Artisan in Social Work – Level 4.
IT enthusiasts can delve into various courses including ICT Artisan Level 4, NVCET in IT and ICT Technician Level 4. Meanwhile, Hospitality and Tourism offers opportunities for D- and E-grade students in Tour Guiding and Operations (Level 4) and Artisan in catering and accommodation.
Agricultural Sciences offers various courses like Agribusiness, Agriculture, Horticulture Management, Agricultural Mechanics, Entrepreneurial Agriculture, Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology Level 4 and NVCET in Modern Farming Methods.
For those interested in hairdressing and beauty therapy, this popular program provides craft courses that can lead to setting up salons or beauty shops, or employment in the beauty and beauty industry.
