KUCCPS Portal Fails as Application is Ongoing
KUCCPS Portal Fails as Application is Ongoing. John Chege, an operator of a cyber cafe, has expressed his dismay at the predicament facing youths who have gathered at his establishment and have been patiently waiting for the online portal to be restored. Chege disclosed that due to the unavailability of the portal, individuals with computers at home sought his services only to find out that it was a nationwide problem.
Fortunately, Chege noticed an improvement on Saturday afternoon, allowing him to efficiently serve everyone in line.
Meanwhile, Samuel Mburu, a cyber operator in Nyeri town, reported the system down, explaining that despite having a list of clients seeking services, attempts to log in resulted in an “out of reach” message. Rueben Macharia, another cyber operator, shared the same problem and highlighted the wide impact of the portal problem.
Gerald Maina from Nyeri who wanted to join Meru National Polytechnic lamented that even though the portal is open, he has not completed his registration. In Kitala, applicants faced panic as they had only 12 days to choose courses and institutions. Students across the board have been highlighting the inaccessibility of the KUCCPS portal since it opened last Thursday, expressing frustration at their futile attempts to log in.
In Nyanza, parents campaigned for an extension to the application deadline, with students having to wait long at cyber cafes in Homa Bay and Siaya. Technical issues with the portal prevented them from entering their credentials, shared Billy Ochienge who spent five hours trying unsuccessfully.
In Homa Bay, cyber operator Fred Onyango lamented the loss of customers due to the portal problem, highlighting the wider economic impact of the situation.
