KUCCPS Top A- Courses in Kenya 2023. Students with an A- on their KCSE may still sign up for the aforementioned courses. They might also be admitted to one of the following degree programs at Kenya’s top universities.
1. Bachelor’s degree in Economics
A bachelor’s degree in economics or finance indicates that the holder is qualified to work in the fields of economics and finance.
This course is provided by Kenya’s top universities. For this program to accept you, your KCSE grade must be at least a C+.
The following are the minimum scores for the cluster subjects:
Business Studies, Economics, Accounting, or Commerce: B+ and C+ in mathematics.
2. Computer science
The broad spectrum of software, technological, and technical abilities needed in the field are taught in a bachelor’s degree in information technology program.
If you want to enroll in this course, you need to have at least a
- In KCSE, a C+.
- Grade: C+
- C+ in mathematics
3. Quantity surveying
Students in this four-year degree program learn how to conceptualize and address issues in the field of civil engineering construction. Candidates must receive a C+ or higher on the KCSE.
The cluster subjects’ required minimum score is as follows:
A+ in Biology, Chemistry, Business, Agriculture, or Art and Design. A in English and a B in Mathematics. C+ in Geography, History, and CRE.
4. Clinical medicine
The Bachelor of Science in Clinical Medicine degree equips students with the knowledge, abilities, and attitudes required to apply and harness clinical skills, carry out research, and pursue academic advancement in order to provide and enhance Kenyan healthcare service.
You need at least a C+ on your KCSE to be qualified for the program. The cluster participants’ cutoff score is as follows:
- C+ grades in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics
- Either in Kiswahili or English, C+
5. Geospatial engineering
The newest addition to the engineering family is geospatial engineering.
The minimum entrance criteria for this course is a C+ on the KCSE. Additionally, the minimum score for subjects in clusters is as follows:

- C+ in Biology and Chemistry
6. Mechanical engineering
Students who complete the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree will have a firm foundation in engineering design and engineering sciences.
You must obtain at least a B-minus on your KCSE in order to enroll in the five-year program. The required minimum grades for each topic in a cluster are as follows:
- Mathematics: A in biology or geography; C+ in physics; C+ in chemistry.
7. Software engineering
Students learn the abilities they require to excel in the fast-paced world of computers over their four years in the engineering program.
You need to have at least a B plain on your KCSE in order to be eligible for this program. The required minimum grades for each topic in a cluster are as follows:
- Math: C+
- C+ in Kiswahili,
- C+ in English, or
- C+ in Physics
8. Nursing
A nursing degree should be at the top of your list of university courses to take if you want to work in the medical industry.
A minimum KCSE score of B+ is required to enroll in the program as a normal student.
