Ministry of Education Communicates Vital Information to All Schools
Ministry of Education Communicates Vital Information to All Schools. The Ministry of Education has given the County Directors of Education instructions to ensure that schools have settled their debts with the Postal Corporation.
The corporation owes money to schools for postal boxes, according to a letter dated July 4 that was sent by the State Department for Basic Education and signed by Paul Kibet for PS Kipsang Belio. The Star observed the letter.
The PS argued that this amounted to the schools’ financial irresponsibility and that this behavior could not be condoned.
This is to ask you to make sure that all schools with outstanding obligations to the postal company pay them up immediately and no later than one month from the date of this letter.

He claimed that the Ministry had been informed by the Corporation that certain schools had been sharing the boxes, a practice he found objectionable that the Corporation had warned the Ministry about.
He claimed that this practice ought to stop right away because every institution has a unique set of resources.
The PS instructed those who shared boxes to apply for more boxes within a month.
He instructed me, “A report on compliance to the Principal Secretary will be expected from you,” and I took him at his word.
John Tonui, the Post Master General, received a copy of the letter.
